Brianna Arango, who attends Southern Methodist University, was last seen on campus on Thursday, Feb. 12, around 12:30 p.m. local time, near Harold Simmons Hall on Airline Road, Fox affiliate KDFW, CBS News and NBC affiliate KXAS reported. She was reported missing that same day. In an update on Friday, Feb. 13, a spokesperson for the Southern Methodist University Police Department confirms to PEOPLE that the young woman was found safe. No additional details have been shared about when and where she was found or the circumstances behind her disappearance. "We know this situation was concerning for many in our community, and we are grateful for your attention and assistance," police said in a statement after sharing the news that Arango was safe, according to local CBS station KTVT. The concern began when the 21-year-old student missed a class at 1 p.m. on Feb. 12, then failed to meet up with a relative as planned that afternoon. By 3:30 p.m., relatives reported her missing.
