LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Another person is coming forward saying they were stung by a scorpion while staying at a Las Vegas hotel over the Christmas holiday break. Linda Culler chose to stay at the Silver Sevens Hotel and Casino, since it is conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from the Harry Reid International Airport. Her flight was scheduled to depart at 6 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29. To avoid missing her flight, she drove in from her home in Pahrump and checked in on Sunday at the Silver Sevens. She woke up overnight to start getting ready and felt a sting. “I got up barefooted and walked around the bed and stepped on the scorpion. And I knew immediately, it was on the side of my foot, and um….ah man,” Culler said. That event set off a chain reaction. While on the plane, her foot began swelling and she developed a fever. Once she landed in Montana, a visit to the hospital cost her $466. “I just don’t think it’s right. That they don’t have to be accountable,” Culler said. Culler reached out to 8 News Now after Monday’s story about a Los Angeles man who was stung by a scorpion while staying at the Silver Sevens. Guest says he was stung by scorpion at Las Vegas hotel His roommate captured a video of the scorpion. The scorpion was believed to be a bark scorpion, which the National Park Service stated is the most venomous scorpion in North America. Attorney Brian Virag of “MyBedBugLawyer” is representing the California man and said Silver Sevens has an obligation to keep guests safe. “It doesn’t matter how much you’re spending for a hotel room or an accommodation. It’s got to be safe,” Virag said. Culler said the hotel didn’t charge her for the room, but she still had to pay the resort fees. The sting left her unable to step on her right foot for two days. “I think they should be shut down and totally gone through it, because it now has an infestation as far as I’m concerned,” Culler said. Linda Culler hopes that Silver Sevens will at least pay the hospital bill she incurred as a result of the scorpion bite. Sex life ruined, claims man stung in testicles by scorpion at Las Vegas Strip resort: lawsuit Several attempts 8 News Now made to get a comment from Silver Sevens Hotel and Casino for both scorpion incidents went unanswered. Attorney Brian Virag also represents a guest who was stung by a scorpion on the testicles at the Venetian’s Palazzo tower during the Christmas holiday in 2023. That case has yet to be resolved, according to Virag. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
