Seth Meyers Offers Wild Theory For Trump’s Endgame In Iran

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers offered his wild take on what he thinks Donald Trump’s endgame may be in Iran after the president made scatterbrained comments about who will control the Strait of Hormuz. On Monday, reporters queried Trump about that very topic. “It will be jointly controlled,” Trump said. “By who?” CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked. “Maybe me,” Trump said. “Me and the Ayatollah, whoever the Ayatollah is.” Meyers likened Trump’s response to someone trying to explain “who’s coming to game night.” “I don’t know me, the Ayatollah, maybe the Ayatollah’s roommate,” Meyers said. He also wondered whether co-owning the Strait was Trump’s ultimate goal. “Has this been the plan from the beginning? That you and the Ayatollah were gonna go into business together?” Meyers asked Trump. “I’m not sure how Barnes and Noble started collaborating, but I’m guessing it wasn’t because Barnes killed Noble’s dad!” Watch Meyers’ full “Closer Look” segment here: By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
