Stephen Colbert Gives Trump A Brutal Reminder Of 1 Word He Should Never, Ever Use

“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Tuesday reminded President Donald Trump that he should be extra careful around certain words. Colbert pointed to a new threat against Iran posted on the president’s Truth Social website in which he demanded that the country reopen the Strait of Hormuz, then issued a not-so-veiled threat to destroy the nation’s civilian infrastructure if they don’t. Trump wrote: One word stood out to Colbert. “Someone who’s mentioned in the Epstein files over 38,000 times should not —really, should not put quotes around the word ‘touched,’” Colbert pointed out. That’s a reference to the files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was once close friends with Trump. As a result, Trump is mentioned throughout those files ― and perhaps even more frequently than Colbert suggested. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said last month that a search of the unredacted files for “Don,” “Donald,” and “Trump” turned up more than 1 million results.
