The force said a man aged in his 40s from Christchurch was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed. The arrested men are aged 37 and 46 from Bournemouth, and 34 from Poole. Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Detective Chf Insp Nicky Jenkins, of Dorset Police's Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died and a detailed investigation is underway to establish what happened." The force added an extensive cordon remained in place with officers expected to remain in the area over the coming days "while vital work at the scene is carried out". Dorset Police said the event drew about 2,000 people and more than 100 vehicles. From bun throwing to nettle eating, the south celebrates some of the country’s most unusual traditions.
