“Weekend Update” host Colin Jost took on President Donald Trump’s wild claim that Iran doesn’t “seem to realize they have no cards” other than what he called a “short term extortion of the World by using International Waterways.”

“They’re literally holding a strait,” cracked Jost in a playful nod to both the poker hand and the Strait of Hormuz, the sea passage that’s been effectively shut down by Iran in a move that’s sparked global economic consequences.

Elsewhere in the segment, co-host Michael Che took a dark swipe at first lady Melania Trump over her appearance before reporters last week where she denied that late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein introduced her to the president.

“Because they actually met when Trump cracked open her shipping container,” quipped Che, whose joke got a mix of groans and laughter from the “SNL” crowd.
