Trump Taunts Tucker Carlson With Recent Poll: 'A Low IQ Person'

President Donald Trump on Friday continued distancing himself from some of his biggest past supporters who continue to rebuke him over the Iran war and his attacks against the pope, including former Fox News host Tucker Carlson — calling him “a Low IQ person.” The MAGA leader was reacting to a CNN segment from last week on the results of a recent poll from the University of Massachusetts’ Lowell Center of Public Opinion, which found 77% of Republicans have a favorable view of Trump — while only 31% have one of Carlson. “It’s easy!” Trump wrote Friday shortly after 8 a.m. on his Truth Social platform. “Tucker is a Low IQ person - Always easy to beat, and highly overrated!!! So are Megyn Kelly, ‘Candace’ (Really Dumb and mentally ill!), and Bankrupt Alex Jones, who is completely ‘fried.’” The president continued, “There are others, also! Then we have some that are VERY GOOD, true MAGA all the way, and smart. I should do a list of good, bad, and somewhere in the middle. Wouldn’t that be fascinating???” The subjects of his screed have all criticized Trump and his administration to varying degrees in recent weeks, largely over the Iran war and his genocidal rhetoric surrounding it, and Trump’s criticism of Pope Leo XIV amid the pontiff’s calls for peace in the conflict. Trump has previously lashed out against the four conservative pundits over their stance on the war, claiming last week that they “have all been fighting” him because they have “Low IQs” and want Iran, “the Number One State Sponsor of Terror,” to have a nuclear weapon. Jones and Kelly had criticized Trump over his genocidal threat. Jones even called for his removal from office, which Owens appeared to echo after last week’s rant. Carlson on Sunday called Trump a “slave” to Israel over his decision to go to war with Iran. The former Trump loyalist also slammed him as the first president to publicly “give the finger to Jesus” after Trump shared an artificial intelligence-generated image on Sunday depicting him as a Christ-like figure and “attacked the pope” in his earlier social media screed. Trump appeared wholly indifferent to the thoughts of his former allies Friday when he shared a Mediaite article on last week’s CNN segment, which saw the network’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, note that voters would choose Trump over Carlson “every single time.” That segment aired before Trump launched his feud with the pope, however. Enten noted Monday that Trump is now “struggling” with U.S. Catholics in the polls and said, “I believe the president is making a humongous mistake going after the most popular guy in America.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
