President Donald Trump decried James Carville on Tuesday as a “Wacko” for urging fellow Democrats to expand the Supreme Court and bring statehood to Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.

“Wacko James Carville, a so-called Democrat ‘strategist,’ wants the Democrats to make D.C. and Puerto Rico States and, most importantly, pack the Supreme Court, putting 13 Justices on the Court,” Trump wrote Tuesday on his Truth Social platform. “Other Dems want 21 Justices.”

“If they pull off adding these two States, these Country Destroying Sleazebags will dominate politics in America, if we even have a Nation left, for 100 years (TERMINATE THE FILIBUSTER!). They are already doing great with the Supreme Court, however,” he added.

Carville has called for an expansion of the Supreme Court and the two additional statehoods since at least last summer, arguing at the time that the moves are critical to “saving democracy.” He also reiterated as much in The Wall Street Journal on Monday. The strategist has also regularly insulted Trump on his “Politics War Room” podcast, directly addressing the president through profanity-laced rants.

On Tuesday, Trump stated his “respect” for the Democratic justices, who “stick together like glue” and are “totally loyal” to the people who got them there, then criticized Republicans who let Democrats “push them around” and lack “loyalty to the man who appointed them.”

Conservatives hold a 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court, which ruled in February that most of Trump’s “emergency” tariffs weren’t properly authorized. Trump published a frustrated screed following the ruling and called multiple justices a “disgrace to our nation.”

Also during Tuesday’s rant, Trump shared his disdain for birthright citizenship amid his ongoing attempts to restrict the legal principle, calling it “an anchor wrapped firmly around” America’s neck that no “successful” country can survive. A final ruling from the Supreme Court is reportedly expected by June or July.

The president then lamented that American businesses could claim refunds for the overturned tariffs, saying they would have saved U.S. taxpayers “a minimum of $159 Billion Dollars.”

“What a difference it would have made for our Country,” Trump wrote. “I put certain people on the United States Supreme Court who totally misrepresented who they were, and the true ideology for which they stand!”

Carville has recently issued warnings about the deterioration of Trump’s mental state. He has also said that the war on Iran could be a knockout blow for the GOP in the upcoming midterm elections: “You’re getting ready to get the living crap kicked out of you.”
