'Did You Hear What I Just Said?': Trump Loses It With Female Reporter Over Simple Question About Iran

Donald Trump launched yet another personal attack on a female journalist on Thursday, as he fielded questions about his ongoing Iran war. While taking questions from reporters, the president was asked about the timeline of the conflict, which has now dragged on into its eighth week, after members of his administration initially claimed it could be wrapped up within four to six weeks. Trump said he had “hoped” it would be that short but pointed to the temporary ceasefire, adding that Iran’s military was “decimated” early on and that he “didn’t want to put that kind of a timetable on it” being concluded. He also claimed the U.S. has “total control” of the Strait of Hormuz and said he had personally decided to close it to limit Iran’s potential to earn money, until they “make a deal or something else happens.” Reporter: What do you say to the American people who want to know how much longer this will take?Trump: You’re such a disgrace. Trump cut her off and chided her. “You’re such a disgrace,” he said. “Did you hear what I just said? Vietnam, how many years was Vietnam?” he added. Wright pushed back: “I understand, sir, but you are past your six-week deadline.” Trump responded that the U.S. had already completed most of its military objectives. “I took the country out militarily in the first four weeks,” he said, adding that the U.S. is now “sitting back and seeing what deal” emerges — but warning he would “finish it up militarily” if one is not reached.
