A Wilmington Police Department advisory identified the suspect in a Tuesday hospital shooting as John Wallace-Bey, 23, of New Castle.

He will be charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, two counts of "Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony" and with "Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon," according to the advisory.Β 

"The suspect in this incident has been identified as 23-year-old John Wallace-Bey of New Castle. Wallace-Bey was taken into custody in Philadelphia last night and is pending extradition to Delaware," the update states.

Both of the shooting victims were 19-year-old men, according to the release.

Wilmington Police Department Chief Wilfredo Campos noted during a Tuesday press conference that one of the victims had died due to his injuries.

The update on Wednesday noted that the victim "who remains hospitalized is listed in critical but stable condition. The name of the victim who succumbed to his injuries will be released at a later time."
