Fresh off the global success of “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” Anne Hathaway has an extra-special reason to celebrate this summer. The Golden Globe- and Oscar-winning actor confirmed on Instagram Friday that she and her husband, Adam Shulman, are expecting their third child. “Baby, I’m yours,” she wrote in the caption of a short video that showed her posing in front of a fireplace while revealing her pregnant belly as Barbara Lewis’ 1961 song “Baby, I’m Yours” played. As of Friday afternoon, the post had drawn a plethora of well-wishes from fans as well as a few of Hathaway’s famous pals, including model Heidi Klum and “Saints & Sinners” actor Jasmine Burke. “Eeep princess of Genovia is having an heir!” musician Tiffany Houghton wrote, alluding to Hathaway’s character in the “Princess Diaries” franchise. Added “Today” anchor Al Roker: “Wow!!! So happy for you both.” Hathaway and Shulman, a film producer and jewelry designer, have been married since 2012. They have two sons, Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6. The announcement comes amid a prolific time for Hathaway, who is set to appear in a total of five films this year. The first two, “Mother Mary” and “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” were released this spring. Next up is “The Odyssey,” due out in July, followed by “The End of Oak Street” and “Verity” in August and October, respectively. In addition, she’s confirmed to appear in “The Princess Diaries 3,” though the film has yet to begin production and no release date has been set. Speaking to People in April, Hathaway credited Shulman for having “stepped up” during such a busy period in her career. “He supports me completely. This year in particular was unusual,” she said. “He and I both know that it’s probably never going to happen like this again.” She went on to note: “It’s one thing to have dreams. It’s another thing to have somebody who helps you achieve them. I absolutely would not be able to have achieved what I’ve done without my husband.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
