The son of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has been arrested after allegedly shooting his mother and the coach's wife multiple times in the couple's Virginia home.

Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling, according to a press release by the Loudon County Sheriff's Office.

The release states one adult, presumably Mia Bieniemy, suffered "multiple gunshot wounds."

Eric Bieniemy was with the Chiefs in Missouri at the time.

"Yeah, I'm fired up to have him back," Chiefs coach Andy Reid said of Bieniemy's return at the NFL Combine in February. "When you lose a Matt Nagy, to bring a guy in who can just step in and go — that's not an easy thing to do. He brings great energy.

"Loves doing what he's doing. All he wants to do is win football games and have a great offense. Ultimate team guy."
